Abstract

The possibility of tuning the carrier frequency of a symbolic sequence of ultrashort optical pulses by using the nonlinear properties of a fiber is analyzed. Numerical modeling of this process was carried out in the OptiSystem program. The possibility of shifting the carrier frequency of optical pulses for use in fiber-optic communication lines with wavelength division multiplexing has been confirmed.
